Connect Stripe and get paid
Connect your Stripe account, enable Stripe on invoices, and let paid statuses sync automatically.
Online card payments in Trueinvoice use Stripe Connect (Standard) via OAuth. You can skip this entirely if you only collect bank transfers or cash.
1. Open Online Payments and Connect your Stripe account

- Open Settings.
- Under Invoice Configuration, tap Online Payments (Accept payments via Stripe).
- If status is Not Connected, tap Connect Stripe Account.
- Complete Stripe’s identity and payout onboarding in the browser / Stripe flow.
- Return to Trueinvoice when Stripe finishes.
2. Confirm you are Active

- Open Online Payments again.
- Confirm status shows Active and the message that your Stripe account is ready to accept payments.
- You can Refresh Status if the badge has not updated yet, or Disconnect Account later if you no longer need card payments.
3. Enable Stripe on an invoice and share
- Open an invoice that is ready to send.
- On the Payment Info card, leave Stripe on (switch to payment notes only if you want bank/cash instructions instead).
- Share via link, email, PDF, or QR code.
When Stripe is on for that invoice, the pay option is added automatically for the amount due (the remaining balance, including after a partial payment) — Click here to pay on the PDF and Pay on the shared web invoice. You do not create a separate payment link.
Payment Info details are covered in Create an invoice. Sharing options are in Share via link, PDF, or email.
4. What happens when a client pays

- The client opens Click here to pay / Pay and completes payment on Stripe Checkout.
- Trueinvoice reconciles the payment and updates invoice status (Partially Paid or Paid).
- Multiple payment entries and partial payments are supported.
5. Fees to expect
- Stripe charges its own card processing fees (they vary by country and payment method). See Stripe’s pricing for current rates.
- Anodelabs collects a 0.5% platform application fee on successful online payments, capped per invoice (for example USD 10). See Pricing and the Terms.
Manual / offline payments you record yourself do not incur the Trueinvoice platform fee.
Tips
- Online payments are only available for supported currencies.
- Keep your Stripe account details up to date so payouts are not delayed.
- Prefer bank transfer or cash payment notes instead? See Configure invoice defaults.
