Add an item

Save products and services with a name, cost, and tax presets so invoices and estimates stay fast to build.

Item card showing name and price in the catalog

Items are reusable products and services in your catalog. Once saved, you can pick them when creating invoices or estimates instead of typing the same line every time.

1. Open Items

Items tab with catalog list and add button

  1. Open the Items tab in the bottom navigation.
  2. Tap the blue + button to create a new item.

You can also add an item from the invoice or estimate flow when choosing line items (+ Add New Item).

2. Create the item

Create Item form with name, cost, and taxes

  1. Enter Item Name (required).
  2. Enter Item Cost (required) — the default price when you add this item to a document.
  3. Under Taxes Applied, tick any tax presets that should apply by default (you can adjust the rate on the item if needed).
  4. Tap + Add Global Tax Preset if you need a new named rate, then save it.
  5. Tap Save.

3. Edit or delete later

Edit Item with trash icon

  1. Tap an item in the list to open Edit Item.
  2. Update Item Name, Item Cost, or Taxes Applied, then tap Save.
  3. To remove an item, tap the trash icon in the top-right of the edit screen.

Use the search icon on the Items tab to find items by name or price.

Tips

  • Keep one catalog entry per product or service you bill often.
  • You can still change quantity, price, and taxes on a specific invoice after you add the item.
